Alexeï Vostrikov made French his profession, and Longueuil his base.

Twenty-five years, several countries

Trained as a teacher of French as a foreign language, and a project manager and designer, he worked in several countries and sectors for twenty-five years. Today he is co-founder and general manager of the Centre d'enseignement et de certification du français du Québec (CECFQ): French courses, including in the workplace, and certification preparation. The CECFQ is an accredited exam centre for the TEF and professional French diplomas, and a test centre for the DELF and DALF.

A foothold outside Montreal

He found us while looking to grow his activities outside Montreal.

“I really wanted to discover Quebec beyond Montreal. A network of eight locations was exactly what I was looking for.”

The charm of Old Longueuil

He settled in Longueuil.

“I appreciate the human scale of the place, the well-insulated offices and the conversations with my neighbours. As a historian, I'm also particularly sensitive to the charm of the building and of Old Longueuil. Building an internationally minded project in this historic and cultural setting is a real pleasure.”

Projects that open doors

What drives him, he says, is “building projects that open doors: finding your place in Quebec, growing professionally or gaining confidence in French.”

And his words for anyone who is hesitating:

“Whether you're from here or elsewhere, whether you start with a simple business address or move your team in, you'll find at Hedhofis the means to move forward at your own pace and a welcome that makes you feel you belong.”

Thank you, Alexeï. Quotes translated from French.
